My personal view is that there is no substitute for therapy – we personally are not able to see ourselves with the clarity, expertise and knowledge that a professional mental healthcare provider is trained to do.

It is always a great idea to go in for a “check up” whenever you are confronted with a significant conflict or challenge. Sometimes it is probably a good idea to go in for the seemingly insignificant ones as well! Therapy or counseling (I’ll talk about the differences in a later posting) is healing and growing on a mental level. If you start with the mind, the physical follows. It is simply a good practice to make sure that you start with good mental perspective as you pursue any of your life goals.
